About the Position

The Medical Aide will support physicians and healthcare professionals by assisting with patient care, preparing medical equipment, monitoring patients' vital signs, and helping maintain a safe and organized clinical environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Clean, sterilize, assemble, and prepare medical equipment.
  • Assist with the maintenance and minor repair of medical equipment.
  • Provide support for patient care and comfort.
  • Measure and record blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning patients.
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Deliver reports, requisitions, messages, and specimens between departments.
  • Collect patient specimens as required.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies.
  • Prepare patient rooms and make beds.
  • Respond to patient call signals and determine care needs.
  • Provide first aid assistance during emergency situations.
  • Assist physicians during patient assessments.

Requirements

  • Language: English.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Brampton, Ontario.

Required Certifications

  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid CPR Certificate.

Work Environment

  • Physician's office.
  • Hospital, medical facility, or clinic.
  • Patient-focused healthcare environment.
