About the Position

As an Excavator Operator, you will work on large-scale energy infrastructure projects across Germany. You will operate modern construction machinery, perform excavation work, and contribute to projects supporting the energy transition while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, cranes, bulldozers and other heavy construction equipment.
• Carry out excavation work, trench digging and earthmoving operations.
• Support the installation of energy infrastructure.
• Inspect machinery daily and perform basic maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
• Coordinate daily activities with construction teams.
• Work on a rotation schedule of 10 days in Germany followed by 4 days at home.

Requirements

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience as an Excavator Operator.
• Construction site operator certification is mandatory.
• Professional competence certificate from VDAB or another recognized training center.
• Experience operating hydraulic wheeled and crawler excavators as well as rotating telehandlers (Merlo).
• VCA-VOL certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Willingness to work on international projects in Germany.
• Upper secondary education.

Language Requirements

• Dutch: Very good.
• French: Good.
• English: Good.
• French- or English-speaking candidates with basic Dutch knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
